TE Academy — Monthly Update November 2022
In this update, we’d like to share the amazing progress our community has made since the launch of TE Fundamentals: In four weeks, 900+ students have enrolled in the course, and 260+ have already passed their first exam. We are proud to have so many motivated students on board!
TE Academy graduates receive account-bound NFT certificates that can be used to build organizational roles on top, access rights, or voting weights. DAO Voting Systems Workshop
As the conclusion of the three-session series #DivingDeeper — Computational Social Choice and Crypto, with Nimrod Talmon, Ph.D., we’ve conducted a workshop on DAO Voting Systems. We invited DAO stewards or workstream leads to participate and bring their questions about and plans for improving the following features of their DAOs:
- decision-making processes
- voting systems
- algorithmic sorting, ranking and selection mechanisms
This program is a collaboration between TE Academy and SCRF — Smart Contract Research Forum.

Study TE Fundamentals with Fellow Students!
TE Fundamentals is an online course that you can start anytime, anywhere. To make studying more fun, join a study group! Currently, there are 30+ active study groups going from TE Fundamentals Module 1 to 5. We’ve recently onboarded a new cohort of study group hosts offering additional weekly sessions in Chinese (both online and in person), French and English and also sessions for the Arab community.
Here’s how to select the best study group for you:
- Check the session day and time and what language works for you
- Check the TE Expertise level
- If there is any particular application area you are most interested in, the Special Focus category provides more information
- Once you have filtered your study groups shortlist, dive into Descriptions to find out what study group hosts say about the group

- Go to the TE Academy Discord
- Leave some notes about yourself, your background, and your motivation to learn more about token engineering on the Introductions channel
- To join a study group, you can simply attend the next session; no prior registration needed
- Make sure to introduce yourself in the respective study group Discord channel and get to know your fellow students!
If you choose a study group that started some weeks ago, you might need to catch up and do some extra homework. Find encouragement in how far they got — and motivate yourself to reach them!

Introduction to Token Engineering
Token Engineering is a new discipline, and TE Academy’s mission is to develop it. Our goal is to educate aspiring TEs, grow the number of TEs in crypto, and create new Web3 value flows for education and research.
This is why TE Academy offers #FreeEducation! Introduction to Token Engineering calls happen monthly and are a great gateway to learning more about the basics, being onboarded to the community, finding out fresh announcements, and asking questions.
We’ve had 11 sessions already in 2022, and if you haven’t joined one yet, save the date for our December meetup.

TE Academy certificates are non-transferable, account-bound NFTs. These certificates are immutably tied to a student’s identity and live on the blockchain independently from TE Academy. There’s a good reason for this: to make our NFTs bulletproof.
Last week, we’ve been running beta tests with the first TE Academy graduates. All tests were completed successfully, and we’re glad to announce that 4 students have already received their NFT certificates!

TE Academy certificates are available for all students from Monday, November 28.✨ Join us for a Mint Together session and celebrate. All you need is to have passed at least one TE Fundamentals Exam.
You will also be able to share your certificates publicly and add them to your LinkedIn profile, for example. Don’t worry: we’ll share tutorials for each step.
