TE Academy — Monthly Update August 2022
Last month, we celebrated TE Academy’s birthday where we held a full day of events that included the release of the TE Fundamentals launch date, met the amazing engineers who designed the program, and listened to talks by an awesome cast of token engineers.
This month, the TE Academy has been gearing up for the upcoming launch of the TE Fundamentals program, and we are excited to bring you some really awesome updates!

TE Fundamentals EARLY ACCESS
TE Fundamentals is the first comprehensive education and certification program in token engineering. For the first time, graduates can get a proof-of-knowledge in this new discipline.
The official launch for the TE Fundamentals program will be during Devcon VI. However, we are granting early access to participants in our study groups on September 12, 2022!
So, if you would like to get an early start, join one of our study groups on Discord, meet other token engineering students, and get access to the first module of TE Fundamentals program on September 12th.

Study Groups and Local Hosts
We believe in the power of local communities. That’s why we support hosts around the globe to offer study group sessions that allow aspiring token engineers to come together, meet other students, and learn with colleagues who have similar backgrounds or speak your native language.
All study groups are accessible via Discord — no registration required, you can just drop by and start learning. The first sessions are going to take place during the week of Sept 12, 2022.

#DivingDeeper COMSOC Guest Lectures
Its that time again! Assistant Professor Nimrod Talmon, PhD from Ben-Guiron University will be presenting his second session of TEA’s #GuestLectures on Computational Social Choice (COMSOC).
Social choice deals with designing and analyzing algorithmic and game-theoretic principles that are applicable for making community decisions that respect the preferences of the community members. This includes tasks as varied as how to divide resources among agents, match agents to resources, and make joint decisions that are acceptable and beneficial to the community as a whole. Such algorithms are crucial in crypto both for network-level operations such as selecting a validator committee and reaching a voting-based consensus and governance-level operations such as changing a protocol or deciding on how to use a DAO treasury.
This series of lectures will provide a general overview of the field and present some of its classical theoretical results. If you missed the first one, no worries we have all the resources from his first session that will allow you to catch up!
